Excellent study of the film here! I really enjoy this movie, but I admittingly do skip over the dog scene in rewatches. It's important to see the first time, but I'm perfectly fine without ever seeing it again 😂
Thank you! Yeah, I try to avoid anything with animal cruelty in it. Unfortunately, it's a sad part of life, so I understand why some films have it, but it's often used as a shock tactic. John Leguizamo's character does a great job showing how pathetic it is to hurt an animal in this.
